Can this item be washed in the dishwasher?
A: It is double wall insulated but stainless steel inside and out. I think it could go in the dishwasher, but it only will have ice (water) in it so why would it need to? I just give it it a good wipe down and dry it off. I also would not want to mess with the seal, but it looks very well constructed.
What's the function of the round sheet?
A:It is essential for draining away melting water from the main pack of ice. If advertised "not included" then you are loosing an essential part of the ice bucket's function.
