Development Board features:
The Arduino Mega 2560 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega2560. It has 54 digital input/output pins (of which 14 can be used as PWM outputs), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack,an ICSP header, and a reset button.
It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller;simply connect it to a computer with a USB AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.
With a bootloader, it is possible to download programs directly via USB without going through other external writer. Power supply part can be directly powered by USB, or use AC-to-DC adapter and battery as external power supply.
This board is a clone of the original Arduino board and is compatible with most shields designed for the Arduino Duemilanove or Diecimila.
Thanks to the open source code and the C language development environment using the Java concept (cross-platform), peripheral modules and applications are rapidly growing. The main reason for attracting Artist is that you can quickly use language to communicate with software such as Flash or Processing... and make multimedia interactive works. The Arduino IDE development interface is based on open source code principles and allows you to download and use it for free on special topics, school teaching, motor control, interactive works, and more.
