This kind of instrument is in useAlphaRay,BetaRay,GammaA radioactive thickness gauge with radial penetration characteristics; an ultrasonic thickness gauge using ultrasonic frequency changes; an eddy current thickness gauge using eddy current principles; and a capacitive thickness gauge. Microwave and laser technology have been used to develop the thickness gauge, and it is still in the stage of development and experiment.
